Preparing for the Exams

Prior to taking the exams, you must partake in the USMLE step 1, USMLE step 2, and USMLE step 3 registration. 

Using USMLE JUNKIES STEP 3 BOARD-READY

• You must register for USMLE STEP 3 to take the USMLE test.  The USMLE STEP 3 price is about $745, but this price may change, so you should confirm with FSMB.  FSMB USMLE step 3 can be registered for by visiting www.fsmb.org .  If you are an IMG, USMLE step 3 scheduling is usually done via Prometric.  Prometric USMLE step 3 can be scheduled by visiting www.prometric.com . It is important to schedule your USMLE examination early.  The USMLE Step3 also consists of the USMLE step 3 CCS.  Step 3 is a 2-day exam.

• Studying for the USMLE Step requires that you prep 4 USMLE by using a good board review book like the USMLE JUNKIES STEP 3 BOARD-READY and a question bank like USMLEWORLD.  USMLE WORLD for Step 3 has been used by doctors, including IMGs, to achieve good USMLE step 3 score and success.  Good USMLE step 3 scores will be in the 80s for USMLE 2 digit score and 200s for USMLE 3 digit score.  For example, the USMLE Step 3 score estimator, only estimates theoretical performance shown on USMLE examinations.  There is no guarantee USMLE Step 3 score report or USMLE STEP 3 score predictor available since other factors play a role such as sampling questions.
